Uniquely Singapore Attraction Travel

Singapore is a cosmopolitan metropolis where people of different cultures live together, with Chinese being the predominant population. Singapore is a uniquely exciting travel destination at the crossroad of Asia for captivating attraction travel.

Singapore attraction travel covers the tourist attractions such as Chinatown, Sentosa, Boat Quay, Botanic Gardens, Orchard Road and Chinatown. Sentosa is a place of sun, sand, beach, history museum and underwater world. Boat Quay is the place for night life, boasting some of the most popular pubs and clubs.

Singapore Attraction Travel - China Town

Chinatown, as the name implies, is a place where Chinese gathered together. There are many Chinese temples in Chinatown, among them the oldest is Thian Hock Keng Temple. In the early years when Chinese migrants came to Singapore, they came to Thian Hock Keng Temple to pray for safe passages across turbulent waters to Taoist goddess Ma Cho Po (Mother of the Heavenly Sages) who is the patron goddess of sailors.

Along the same road as Thian Hock Keng Temple is the Al-Abrar Mosque which is one of the oldest mosques in Singapore. It is an Indian Muslim mosque and therefore the architecture is Indian-Islamic.

Yet in Chinatown there is one of the biggest Hindu temples in Singapore - the Sri Mariamman Temple. The temple building was constructed in 1843 by ex-convicts from Madras who happened to be skilled craftsmen. Being built by South Indians, the temple was built in the South Indian Dravidian style. The temple was a place for immigrants from South India to find shelter before they could get permanent living quarters.

Singapore Attraction Travel Highlights

Singapore Botanic Gardens is one of the most beautiful spot for Singapore attraction travel. There are all manner of trees, shrubs and flowers known to Singapore and the region. For those who love shopping, Orchard Road is the ‘beautiful place’ in Singapore.

By year 2010 Singapore attraction travel will include Marina Bay which is the bay area where an Integrated Resorts is built. For those who are interested beyond Singapore attraction travel, the properties along Marina Bay would be good buys. With one to five million dollars, foreigners can own a part of the Bay and frequent Singapore as often as they like for more attraction travel in Singapore and the regional destinations.
